We are old yet we are young! Our involvement in the silica sand industry now spans two generations. It started with an understanding of a long-term problem with supply of high-quality silica sand product.

We are in constant contact with the demand and supply sides of the business. We work with specialists in the industry across the supply chain, whether in shipping and transport, banking and trade finance, standards testing, lawyers and contracts, mining engineers, geologists and government organisations.

Head-quartered in Hong Kong, we are in-country across Asia-Pacific region with representatives in Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Ken Chad Founder

Ken is an Australian based in Hong Kong. His father started a business in the silica sand space which Ken has taken to the next level. He has been involved in building businesses in Asia for more than 20 years. Over that time he has been engaged in the natural resources space as an advisor, investor and director of public and private natural resources companies.

Steven Loke HP Partner

Steven is based in Malaysia. He has been active in the logistics and sand mining industries as a supplier, exporter and trader of sand products for over a decade. He has worked as a partner with the Chad family for over 30 years. Steven is a mechanical and electrical engineer, and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Malay.

Jessy Lee Partner

Jessy is based in China and has worked with the Chad family for over a decade. She is a specialist in the sale, marketing, trade and research of high-quality international silica sand product with a particular focus on the China market. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Marty Betts Country Head

Marty has been based in Indonesia for over two decades. He is an experienced corporate manager and entrepreneur, and well regarded in the Jakarta business community. He is an import-export specialist and contract negotiator with valuable documentation, B2B supply chain, logistics and operations experience. He is fluent in English and Bahasa.

Emman Moniva Country Head

Emman is based in the Philippines and experienced in project management, logistics, quality control and contract negotiation. He gained his experience of raw materials supply and procurement in the construction industry. He is fluent in English and Tagalog.
